Apple Earphones with Remote and Mic are the famous Apple iPod Earphones, enriched with a remote control (on the cable of the right earpiece) with a microphone and three buttons.
Here's what you can do with this remote control *:
- Adjust the volume by pressing the + and - buttons
- Control the audio and video playback (play / pause and next / previous) by pressing the center button
- Record voice memos on supported models
- Answer and end calls

- The remote and mic are supported only by iPod nano (4thegeneration and later), iPod classic (120/160 GB) and iPod touch (2ndegeneration and later), iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4 and iPad. The remote is supported by iPod shuffle (3rdegeneration and later). Audio is supported by all iPod models.
- Requires software version 1.0.3 for iPod nano (4thegeneration), 2.0.1 for iPod classic (120GB), and 2.2 or later for iPod touch (2ndegeneration).
